Known for its outstanding natural beauty, Riviera Nayarit, in Mexico, is quickly becoming one of the biggest and most popular tourist zones in the country and very popular as a destination to make your second home (or indeed, your permanent home). Cities like Nuevo Vallarta and Puerto Vallarta are the biggest tourist hotspots in the Riviera Nayarit, but there are many other small coastal towns that see a lot of tourist traffic because of their friendly atmosphere, warm hospitality and stunning beaches.
If you’re looking for a new vacation destination to try or somewhere to purchase beachfront real estate, then we’d strongly urge you to consider the Riviera Nayarit.
Riviera Nayarit’s Beaches
The beaches in this area, whether they be the ones in Puerto and Nuevo Vallarta or those in the many coastal towns northward of the main tourist cities, are exceptionally beautiful and, as such, are perfect for sun-worshippers and surfers. If you head north of the Nuevo Vallarta, following the palm dotted coastline, you’ll come to the wonderfully bohemian haven of Sayulita. Sayulita is not your usual, up-market small town that caters to wealthy tourists, rather it’s a surfer’s paradise with plenty of surf shops, beach restaurants and big waves to catch. If you prefer a less active beach then you could go to Banderas Bay and relax there; it’s widely considered one of the most beautiful bays in Mexico and catches the sunsets perfectly.
Nuevo Vallarta Vs Puerto Vallarta
Though Puerto Vallarta has consistently been the biggest tourist draw in the Riviera Nayarit due to its great nightlife and luxury resorts the smaller town of Nuevo Vallarta is rapidly catching up. Nuevo Vallarta is a quieter, more high-end town that offers a slower pace and extra luxury. Golfers and marine enthusiasts will love it here; there are plenty of world class golf courses, and a top notch marina where you can charter boats, or just watch the yachts come and go in a restaurant.
Riviera Nayarit can offer you a once in a lifetime experience and a glimpse into a lifestyle that you’ll want to take home with you.
