Banderas Bay’s beaches might be your number one reason for moving into Puerto Vallarta. There is always something unique you can do on the various types of beaches available in the area. You can find endless stretches of sand and sea where you can swim, stroll, jog, paddle, or even surf. From beaches with calm waters to beaches with challenging waves to test your surfing skills, you can definitely find the perfect beach. There are also beaches with beautiful coves and tidal pools, those packed with people, and those where you will be joined only my nature.

Farmers’ Markets

Vallarta’s South Shore Old Town Farmer’s Market is located at Lazaro Cardenas Park adjacent to Los Muertos Beach. It is open during high season (October thru May) every Saturday from 9:30 to 2. This market is one of the markets that Puerto Vallarta is proud of. It is where you can find various locally-grown produce, baked goods and jams, fabulous food, jewelry, art, clothing, and an array of other fun stuff! Food vendors and live music also abound in the area.

Another market open on Sundays is the market at La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. It also runs only during the high season. Aside from a great shopping opportunity, food vendors, live music and some of the freshest seafood in the bay, the market is also beautifully located by the marina.

Entertainment, live music and theater

Do you have what it takes to be the next star in Puerto Vallarta’s live theater scene? Act II Theater on the corner of Basilio Badillo and Insurgentes streets has 3 venues, and they are constantly searching for new talents. There is even a piano bar where you can enjoy relaxing music, comfortable drinks, and meeting new friends. Also, many bars offer live music for their patrons to enjoy, and you can find different groups each night of the week.

Exploring the area

Don’t miss out on the adventures waiting for you to explore. Once you settle in Puerto Vallarta you can visit many of the villages in and beyond Banderas Bay. Discover lakeside towns, villages, colonial towns, and more. All you have to do is hit the road and drive a couple of hours.

Helping the less fortunate

Are you fond of meeting people and extending charitable aids? There are several charities in the area where you can join in and help. You will find friendships and some of the greatest bonds as the outcome of giving back. Choose from these charitable institutions: Animal rescue, Old Age Homes, children’s orphanages, young girl’s refuge home, abused women’s center, children of the dump and schools for disabled children.Your help will always be appreciated, plus you get to spend your week hours extending help. That will surely warm your heart.
